LEVEL ONE INSTRUCTOR COURSE (1 WEEK)


SKI & SNOWBOARD INSTRUCTOR COURSES IN HAKUBA

So it’s time to get your level 1 and get started on a career in Snowsports? You’ve come to the right place. This intensive instructor course will give you the specific training you need to meet the Level 1 standard and pass the exam.

Facilitated by internationally recognised ISIA Instructor Trainers, you’re riding with the best in the business.

This is a 5 day course where you will get:

1 to 2 days pre exam preparation:

  • Demonstration and freeride training
  • Video analysis sessions
  • Clinics on basic skiing / snowboarding mechanics
  • Teaching theory, pedagogy and practice teaching scenarios
  • Pre-reading material and textbooks.

3 to 4 days of exam time:

  • All instructor courses are run in accordance with the competencies outlined by each instructor association, relevant to your discipline. Please be aware that price differences exist because the number of exams days varies from association to association, as well as the price charged by each to conduct the exam.
EXAM ONLY CANDIDATES

As a qualitative alpine education provider, we provide examinations, but we also provide the training so you can get that certification. We genuinely want all our students to succeed and passing the Level 1 is not guaranteed, especially if you have never received any formal training for your teaching or riding skills! We STRONGLY encourage you to prepare yourself with the appropriate training before the exam. There are instances when you may not need to take the preperation training, if you are unsure of where you are at, then email us and we will give you professional advice as to your chances of passing.

This is a 14 Day Course where you will get:

  • 5 days of coaching:
    • Rider development; carving, moguls and off piste sessions
    • Steep & deep skiing clinics
    • Video analysis sessions
    • Clinics on basic skiing / snowboarding mechanics
  • 2 days of Level 1 pre course training
  • 3 days of Level 1 on snow assessment


  • 3 days of time off where you can enjoy optional activities such as:
    • Japanese cultural day (additional cost)

MINI SEASON (5 WEEKS)


Instructor & Backcountry Training Program

Explore both the worlds of instructing and backcountry touring on this Mini Season course.

This 5 week program is facilitated by an internationally recognized ISIA Instructor Trainer, who will give you the support needed to pass your Level 1 Instructor Certification AND the Avalanche Skills Training course… PLUS you will get the unique opportunity to take your knowledge into the field, so can get the experience needed to work in the ski industry, or take up recreational touring.

This is a 5 Week Program where each week you will have 5 days of training provided and 2 days off, where you can either go freeriding or come along on a cultural tour organised by Evergreen.

We give you a detailed window into the ski industry and a chance to truly experience ski school life as you develop instructing experience with the Evergreen International Ski School.

You are about to become a well rounded and mountain educated ‘Snow Pro’ on this course packed full of quality time on snow, so you can develop your riding and push yourself to the next level while you learn. Week #9Crossover week! Assistant instructing days & choose a discipline to crossover into!
Week #10Train your crossover discipline! Freestyle, Race Training, BC touring, Snowboard, Ski, Telemark.

FINAL WEEK FOR BOTH PATHWAYS:
Closing day, on snow BBQ, PARTY. Make a video
