Ticket Policy:

• Bookings are non-transferable and valid only for the person named on the booking. Cancellation fees will apply.

Liability, Insurance, and Travel:

• EAA is not liable for accidents before, during, or after lessons or programs. Participants are responsible for securing appropriate travel, holiday, or recreational insurance. It is advised to purchase travel insurance to cover injuries or illness. Regular cancellation policies apply, including for illness or injuries.
• Participants must arrange their own travel. EAA is not responsible for any refunds, compensation, losses, costs, expenses, or damages related to personal travel arrangements.

Language Proficiency:

• Courses are conducted in English, Chinese, or English with a Mandarin/ Cantonese/ Thai translator.
• EAA reserves the right to request a candidate to withdraw from the course if their language proficiency is deemed insufficient. No refund will be issued in such cases.

Payment Handling:

• Prices and services are published in Japanese Yen. Overseas payments will be processed by Flywire, using their exchange rates.

Late Registration Extra Fee:

• An additional fee of 15,000 JPY will be charged for registrations made 15 days or less before the course start date.

Liability Cause:

• EAA reserves the right to limit, shorten, cancel, or postpone courses due to insufficient enrollment, poor snow conditions, or staffing issues. Full refunds will be issued for course cancellations, but EAA is not responsible for any expenses incurred by participants. Travel insurance is recommended for any travel plans related to courses. EAA may use alternative local ski resorts if necessary and is not liable for expenses due to changes.

Assumption of Risk, Code of Conduct, Release of Liability, and Waiver:

• Participants must conduct themselves appropriately. Behavior that harms EAA's CSIA's or CASI's reputation may result in withdrawal from the course without a refund.
• If a participant’s performance is below the minimum level required, affecting safety or course structure, they may be withdrawn from the course.
• Evergreen Alpine Academy reserves the right to deny participation to any individual who has a medical condition, is physically unwell or injured, displays symptoms of contagious illness, or is under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that could impair their ability to participate safely. Such refusal may result in no refund, per our stated terms and conditions.

Helmet Requirement:

• Helmets are compulsory for all EAA courses and programs.

Consecutive Bookings:

• Participants cannot book different levels simultaneously without holding the proper certificate (e.g., booking Level 1 and Level 2 courses together).

Cancellations:

• Cancellations made 15 days or less before the course will not be refunded.
• Cancellations between 15 and 30 days prior to the course will incur a 30% cancellation fee.
• Cancellations more than 30 days before the course will incur a 20,000 JPY cancellation fee.
  Purchase travel insurance to cover yourself in case of injury or illness. If you have an existing illness or injury, decide at least 15 or 30 days before the course start date.

Re-scheduling:

• Rescheduling is only available for courses within the same season and is subject to availability.
• Rescheduling requests within 15 days of the course start date will be considered cancellations and will not be eligible for a refund.
• Requests made more than 15 days in advance will be subject to availability confirmation by EAA. Once approved, an administration fee of 15,000 JPY will be charged. If no future courses are available during the season, the regular cancellation policy will apply.

Membership Dues:

• CASI and CSIA members must pay their membership dues before booking, except for Level 1 courses. If fees are not settled in a timely manner, EAA reserves the right to cancel the booking and apply a 100% cancellation fee.
• For membership reinstatement or affiliate membership, please contact CSIA or CASI directly and allow sufficient processing time.

Course Retake Policy:

• Participants who fail either the riding/ skiing or teaching components of the course have 2 years from the course date to retake the failed portion. Regular terms and conditions apply to product purchases.
• Candidates who fail both components of the Level 1 course must retake the entire course. It is advisable to practice and consider a session with an EAA Trainer for additional tips and feedback before retaking the exam.

Filming & Recording Policy

• To protect intellectual property and the privacy of all participants, course conductors, evaluators, trainers, and translators, filming, photography, or audio recording of any course content in any program is not permitted unless prior written permission has been granted by Evergreen Alpine Academy. Unauthorized recording may result in removal from the course without refund and may lead to further action.
