General EAA Terms and Conditions

Ticket Policy:

  • Bookings are non-transferable, and cancellation fees will apply. They are valid only for the person named on the booking.

Liability and Insurance:

  • Evergreen Alpine Academy (EAA) will not be liable for accidents before, during, or after lessons or programs. Participants are responsible for appropriate travel, holiday, or recreational insurance. It is advised to purchase travel insurance to cover injuries or illness. Regular cancellation policies apply, including for illness or injuries.

Helmet Requirement:

  • Use of a helmet is compulsory in all EAA courses or programs.

Language Proficiency:

  • EAA courses are conducted in English unless otherwise stated, with courses available with Chinese speaker translators. Participants should have a comprehension level equivalent to "Secondary school" proficiency in English. Insufficient English proficiency may result in withdrawal from the course without a refund.

Payment Handling:

  • Overseas payments will be handled by Flywire, with their exchange rates used for transactions.

Course Management:

  • EAA reserves the right to limit, shorten, cancel, or postpone courses under certain circumstances (e.g., insufficient enrollment, poor snow conditions, staffing incidents). Full refunds will be given for course cancellations. Travel insurance is recommended for any travel plans related to courses. EAA may use alternative local ski resorts if necessary and is not liable for incurred expenses due to changes.
  • Please note that registrations for the course are made 2 weeks before the course starts. You will receive complementary information, including access to the online e-course, approximately 10 days before the course begins.

CANCELLATIONS

  1. All cancellations made 2 weeks or less before a course will not be refunded.
  2. Cancellations between 2 to 4 weeks prior to a course will have a 30% cancellation fee applied.
  3. Cancellations more than 4 weeks prior to a course will have a 15,000 JPY cancellation fee applied.

RE-SCHEDULE (Change dates of the program booked)

  1. Rescheduling of courses is only available for courses running in the same season and is subject to availability.
  2. Rescheduling a course within 2 weeks prior to the booked course is not possible. Any reschedule request within 2 weeks of the course start date will be deemed a cancellation and will not be eligible for a refund.
  3. If a re-schedule request is made more than 2 weeks in advance of a booked course, availability must be confirmed by Evergreen. Once approved, an administration fee of 10,000 JPY will be charged. If there is no availability in future courses during the season, the regular cancellation policy will apply.

Membership Dues:

  • Existing CASI or CSIA members must pay membership dues prior the booking of the course. If those fees are not paid 1 month the course starts, Evergreen reserves the right to forfeit bookings with 100% cancellation fee applied.
  • For dual members (CASI & CSIA); please note membership dues must be paid at least 1 month prior to the course start date. For dual members of both CASI and CSIA, please ensure membership dues are paid through the CSIA website https://www.snowpro.com/en/  at least 1 month prior to the course start date. If these remain unpaid Evergreen Alpine Academy reserves the right to forfeit bookings with 100% cancellation fee applied.

Course Retake Policy:

  • Participants failing either the riding or teaching components of the Level 2 course have 2 years from the course date to retake the failed portion. Regular terms and conditions apply to product purchases.

CANCELLATIONS

  • A cancellation charge may be withheld for all cancellations made within 7 days of a scheduled lesson, tour, or service:
    • 7 days to 48 hours before the lesson start time: 30%
    • Up until 11 am the day prior to the lesson: 50%
    • After 11 am the day prior to the lesson: 100%

  • Re-scheduling a program or session will only be valid with a previous request and approval 7 days in advance. An administration fee of 10,000 JPY will be charged.
